She made the entire dress of crochet and Uno cards without any patterns. It’s even reversible! Pollutants cause huge rise in brain diseases
The numbers of sufferers of brain diseases, including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and motor neurone disease, have soared across the West in less than 20 years, scientists have discovered. The alarming rise, which includes figures showing rates of dementia have trebled in men, has been linked to rises in levels of pesticides, industrial effluents, domestic waste, car exhausts and other pollutants, says a report in the journal Public Health.
Another thought-provoking exhibit curated by Linda Mussmann examines people's obsession with saving. This is not about "collecting." Why do people save things? Is it about hanging on to the past? Is it a way of seeing time? Is it about showing "fetish" or a way of organizing?
My work is about the human body as reinterpreted by clothing and fashion. It addresses personal adornment and how we learn to see ourselves through clothing.---
